Robert R Titton's Obituary
Robert R. Titton, 89, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on January 11, 2025. Robert was born in Scranton, PA, on February 8, 1935 to his loving parents; Peter and Sophie (Czyzyk) Titton.
Robert served in the United States Navy from September 23, 1952 to December 29, 1955. He carried out his duties on the U.S.S. Lake Champlain as a radio man in the Mediterranean Sea during the Korean War and obtained the National Defense Service Medal and Navy Occupation Services Medal.
Bob worked at Xerox Corp. in Rochester, NY. He was on the engineering team that developed the first plain paper copy machine that is now displayed in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C.
After retiring from Xerox in 1985, Bob started a charter boat business on Lake Ontario, NY called Fishing Fever Charters. In 2000, he sold that business and moved with his wife, Karen, to Royal Highlands in Leesburg, FL.
Bob will be missed dearly and remembered fondly for being an avid sportsman. He loved to fish, hunt and play golf, as well as travel with his beloved wife of 28 years, Karen.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, a brother; Thomas Titton of Dupont, PA, and a sister; Carol Sporer of Moosic, PA.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Karen A. Titton, two children: Jacquelin Haskins of Cato, NY and Glenn Titton of Rochester, NY, three stepchildren: Brenda Rowe of Sodus, NY, Michael McCane of Lyons, NY and Amy McCane of Las Vegas, NV, as well as eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several loving nieces and nephews.
