Robert William Holley's Obituary
Robert William Holley fell asleep in Christ on May 10, 2025 at age 73. Known as Bob by all of his loved ones, he was born on March 3, 1952 in Bristol, VA to his parents James K. Holley and Rose B. Holley, who preceded him in death in 2006 and 2015, respectively.
As a Berean Christadelphian, Bob fervently believed the things concerning the Kingdom of God and the Name of Jesus Christ contained in the Bible. He looked with great anticipation for the soon-coming day when Christ shall stand upon the Earth again and reign in righteousness. Bob was blessed to see all of his “children’s children” pass through the waters of baptism, and often made the “peace of Jerusalem” the subject of hymn and prayer.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of more than fifty years, Martha C. Holley; siblings Elaine G. Varner and J. Shawn Holley; daughters Amy M. House and Jennifer M. Rinard (Bill); grandchildren Victoria Naglieri (Ben), Alexis Huisman (Hendrik), Zachary House, Jordan Rinard (Mickayla), Elizabeth Rinard, and Rebecca Rinard; and, great-grandchildren Emma, Hannah, Lucas, Adrian, Micah, Ezra, and Hudson. He was preceded in death by his brother H. Frank Holley (Sheila).
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 20th at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg, FL, after which he will be buried alongside his brother in Christ and son-in-law Shawn M. House who predeceased him in 2022. Bob and Shawn await the return of Christ and the resurrection from the dead which was their unwavering hope.
