Robert Leroy Hersh's Obituary
Robert LeRoy Hersh, 90, Mount Dora, Florida formerly of Leesburg passed away on March 14, 2018 at Waterman Village, Mount Dora, Florida. Robert was born on February 17, 1928 in Allentown, Pennsylvania to his parents Howard W. Hersh and Gertrude (Fritch) Hersh. He was retired from National Cash Register Corporation as a Service Manager out of their New York Office. He was of the Christian faith. He and his late wife Lois moved to Leesburg, Florida 17 years ago from Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. He was a Proud Veteran of both World War II and Korea serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the AMVETS and the VFW both of Leesburg. He also belonged to the Masonic Lodge in Easton, Pennsylvania and attended the Masonic Lodge in Leesburg, Florida. He is survived by his loving niece and nephew: Beverly Smeltz of Stroudsburg, PA and Dale Crouse and his wife Darlene of Stroudsburg, PA.; great-nieces and great-nephew: Jennifer Silfee, David Smeltz, Elizabeth Smeltz and Kimberly Mylan. A Graveside Service will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 11:00AM with Military Honors.
