Robert Frank "Bob" Chalupa's Obituary
Robert Frank Chalupa age 88 passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Brookdale Senior Living in Leesburg, Florida. Robert was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to the Leesburg area in 2003 from Palos Hills, Illinois. He spent over 40 years in the Lumber industry as the owner and operator of the Peoples Lumber Company in Chicago, Illinois. He was a W. W. II Veteran and proudly served in the U. S. Army. He attended St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Leesburg, Florida and was a member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars, AmVets, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, and The Loyal Order of the Moose. He will be remembered by those closest to him as “a man who loved to work!” He also loved the outdoors, riding horses and was an avid golfer most of his life. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years Rita and leaves behind to carry on his memory a daughter Nadine (Jim) Muller of Leesburg; brother Ed Chalupa of Reno, NV; and a sister Barbara Mayhugh of Palentine, IL;
A memorial mass is planned for 8:30 A. M. Monday, April 27, 2015 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Leesburg, Florida with Father Mark Wajda serving as Officiant.
