Robert Joseph Fehrenback's Obituary
Robert Joseph Fehrenback, 79, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on August 3, 2025. Robert was born in Jersey City, NJ, on March 13, 1946.
Bob was of the Roman Catholic faith and a proud, dedicated veteran of the United States Marines, Air Force and Air National Guard. Bob joined the Marine Corps at the age of 18 where he was a truck driver, and after finishing college, he then joined the Strategic Air Command of the United States Air Force as a navigator/bombardier. After leaving the Air Force he then joined the New Jersey Air National Guard as a navigator where he navigated KC-135 refueling aircraft. Bob loved to fly.
He gave over 30 years of his life to his country and left the Air National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel. Bob also worked as an account executive in telecommunications.
Bob moved to Florida in 2007 and was on the board of directors in his community, Legacy of Leesburg. Bob was also very proud of his work as a Florida Ombudsman where he was a devoted advocate for the elderly.
Robert will be missed dearly and remembered fondly for his friendly and outgoing nature, as well as his great sense of humor.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Christine Pillo Fehrenback, a son Michael, a daughter Megan, several grandchildren and siblings; Jack, Mary and Jayne.
A celebration of life service for Robert is pending at this time.
Robert will later be interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
