Robert Cutler Curry's Obituary
Robert Cutler Curry went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the age of 87. He was born on August 6, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY to the late E. Robert and Eva Curry. Bob attended Dartmouth University and later obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business at St. Thomas Aquinas College. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, and worked for IBM Corp for over 33 years. As a Computer Systems Analyst for IBM, Bob and his family moved often, last living in Marietta, GA before retiring here to Lake County. He enjoyed music, and playing the organ, and had a real love for anything electronic. Bob was also an avid reader, and television watcher, especially FOX News. He cared deeply for his country and would engage anyone in political discourse. Locally he was a member of the Lake Square Presbyterian Church for over 18 years. Together with his loving wife of 67 years, Betty, they very much enjoyed living in The Plantation. Bob is survived by his wife, Betty Curry; one son, Robert Alan (Soley) Curry of Sayreville, NJ; and three daughters: Nancy Carol (Burt) Juda of Virginia Beach, VA; Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Ann (David) Webster of Dover Plains, NY; and Lauretta ‘Laurie’ Lynne (Wade) Burger of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Tim Juda, David K. Webster, Jin Curry, and Cameron and Robert Justin Burger. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one grandchild, Michelle Curry. Funeral Services for Mr. Curry will be held on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 in the Lake Square Presbyterian Church at 12:00 noon with Rev. Steve Hulsey officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 in the Page-Theus Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Burial with military honors will take place at a later date in Quantico National Cemetery.
