Rita Joan Harvey's Obituary
Rita Joan Harvey, 87, of Leesburg, FL, went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2025. Rita was born on April 6, 1938, in Canton, OH, to her loving parents; Vincent and Mabel (Bellamy) Romesburg.
Rita was a woman of God and a member of 1st Baptist Leesburg before attending Celebration Baptist Church of Leesburg. She worked in sales for about 30 years at Sears where she continued to excel. She was truly kind to others and quite the social butterfly.
Rita enjoyed spending her time with her family and friends, playing scrabble, dominoes, golf and bowling. She also loved to read.
Rita will be missed dearly, she was a friendly and generous woman. Rita often baked and cooked food for others who were sick to show her support.
Rita is preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Philip John Harvey, and her parents; Vincent and Mabel Romesburg as well as a sister, Linda, and a twin brother who passed at birth, whom she is excited to greet in Heaven.
She is survived by her children; Philip John Harvey Jr., Mark Vincent Harvey (Linda), Douglas Alan Harvey and Elizabeth Ann Kennedy, as well as her grandchildren: Jennifer, Jedidiah, Ashley, Heather, Emily and Megan, and great grandchildren; Jace, Sage, Taylor, Natalie, Aarik, Anzlee and Kolton, and two dear friends; Sharon and Sue.
