Richard Joseph Milham's Obituary
Richard Joseph Milham, age 89, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 23, 2024.
Rich was born in Albany, NY to his parents, Samuel and Louise Milham. He graduated Albany High School in 1952 where he lettered in Football and Baseball Thereafter, he attended Syracuse University from where he graduated in 1956. His love of all things Syracuse University sports never waned in the 68 years that followed.
In the fall of 1956, Rich proudly began his service of his country by joining the United States Army. Afterward, he earned his master’s degree and then worked for 32 years at his alma mater, Albany High School, as one of the best accounting teachers in his area.
In January, 1961, Rich married the love of his life, Marian, whom he would spend the next 63 years with until his passing. In 2004, Rich and Marian would move from their home in Albany, NY to Leesburg, FL. In his free time, he loved golfing more than anything. He also enjoyed making Lebanese olives, which he would share with his friends, dining at his favorite restaurants, eating pistachios, reading books, watching John Wayne movies with his sons and doing puzzles on his tablet.
Rich is survived by his loving wife, Marian; his two sons, Rick (Christine) and Joe (Jackie) Milham; his older brother, Samuel Milham, many nieces and nephews, as well as many friends. Rich will be forever loved by all of those whose lives he touched.
