Richard Simon Kluj's Obituary
Richard S. Kluj of the Plantation in Leesburg, Florida passed away on January 20, 2025 of cancer. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Afterwards in 1982 he became a police officer in Eddison, New Jersey. He rose to become a police captain until his retirement in 2005. He is survived by his fiancé, Diane Foster, his grandson Austin Foster, his brother Randy Kluj(Janet), and his nephew Randy Kluj(Jackie) and their two sons in Pennsylvania. He also had many other loving nieces and nephews. Richard helped organize the Eddison Explorer Post 215. The Post was a part of the Boy Scouts that worked with young men from the ages of 14 to 21. The Post helped the young men in pursuing a career in law enforcement and firefighting. He was the original advisor to the Post and worked with the members to to assist the police department to get food ready for the needy. They also learned first aid and other skills from the police officers who inspired them. Richard was always a very kind and loving person. He will be missed greatly. "Thank you Mr. Rich"
