We have shared so many memories with Rhoda over the 30 years we knew her, all of them wonderful!” We first met Rhoda at church and then we went through counseling training together for the Pregnancy Care Center. From there she volunteered for shorter stints at the Women’s Care Center and also the Men’s Residence, both residential drug rehabs. All theee of these ministries are under the Christian Care Center, Leesburg. Bob and I were often her guests during the summer at her family home in Hendersonville, NC, where we shared adventures! A special memory was when we joined her and friends to tour Wycliff Bible Translators and Campus Crusade for Christ headquarters in Orlando - how she loved supporting the spreading of God’s Word! My first thoughts of Rhoda are greeting her in person or speaking to her on the phone and hearing her say, “I’m wonderful!” or “it’s wonderful!” I once asked her how she could counsel so many people and not let their problems get to her and her response was “God gave me big shoulders”. She will be missed greatly by Bob and I and her Pregnancy Care Center family, but we know she is now praising her JESUS with not a care in the world!
