Damn. Pete was a huge inspiration to me, both on and off the course...I worked for him for many years in Tampa, at Carrollwood Country Club. I am so happy to have been able to reconnect with him shortly after he took over the new golf course last year...I had not seen him in 15 or so years, and found him, went up to him, and it was like yesterday. You'll always be in my memories Pete, thanks for everything you did for me growing up.
Pete came into my life about 4 years ago when we both needed a good friend. We shared many good times with dinners & shows at the Villages. He loved the musical events. I will miss him terribly. Anne O'Briant
I was sad to read about Pete's passing. I've known Pete for many years. He was a great friend. I haven't seen Pete for a few years, because I hadn't had a chance to play his course. I remember several stories Pete would tell. He was always a friendly guy. He will be missed. Al Kelley

I'm so glad I had time to be your friend and golfing buddy in New Jersey and then afterwards when we both moved to Florida. We had great times with a lot of laughs. I remember going out to dinner with you at times .... one steak was never enough, you had to order two or three; you had quite an appetite back then. I'll miss you, Bud.

Peter, my long time friend. We spent many a day on the course and evening at dinner talking golf and life. I wish we had one more day! Let me share a memory from the past, with family and friends. I lived in Leesburg in the mid 70's, Pete was the professional at Continental CC. Once when my wife was up north visiting family, I invited Pete over for a home cooked meal. Steak on the grill, baked potato, fresh salad and of course a good bottle of red wine. While the steak was on the grill we got into a lengthy discussion and lost track of time. When I got to the steaks they were burnt on one side, so I served them burnt side down. Pete brought it to my attention, but ate it anyway. He never let me forget that incident and highly recommended I stick to selling golf products. Pete had a great appetite for food, golf and friendship. I was proud to be his friend and thankful he was my friend. I will miss him dearly. Ron Flak

Pete gave me my start in the golf industry, and gave me my first golf lesson. Actually, he taught me to hook a golf ball, something I have never forgiven Pete for doing. Myself, along with two of my best friends, Charlie and Mike Bisignano, all worked at Continental Country Club for Pete in the late 70's as Assistant Golf Professionals. Great time in my life. We all became PGA professionals and are all still in the business today around the state of Florida. You sometimes do not realize the impact one person can have on the many lives they touch. I will always be indebted to Pete for the direction he provided. (Maybe a little tough on us sometimes, but I am sure it was for good reason). We will miss you, Pete, You are your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
