Pearlie Mae Williams' Obituary
Family always came first for Pearlie Mae Williams, and that simple truth threads through every memory we share today. She left us in Tavares, FL on May 12th after a long life spent loving, guiding, and cooking for the people who meant everything to her.
Pearlie was born on April 12th, 1935, in Brooker, FL, to Susi Mae Griffin and Leroy Griffin, both now at rest. Growing up, she learned early how steady care and quiet dedication shape a home.
She later married Phillip Williams Jr., and together they built a life centered on their children. Pearlie found joy in taking care of the house, raising Wanda and Algen, and passing along her love of cooking.
Though Wanda and Phillip Jr. have since passed, Pearlie’s bond with Algen Williams remained a bright constant. Her grandson, Phillip Ofuani, brought her fresh energy and new stories to enjoy around the kitchen table.
Pearlie’s siblings—Sammy, Tommy, Lorenzo, and Lelia Griffin—have all gone before her, yet their shared childhood in Brooker stayed close to her heart. Each name carried a story she kept alive in family conversations.
We will remember Pearlie for the steady warmth she poured into every meal and every hug. While we say goodbye for now, we carry her love forward, certain that her gentle care still shapes our own homes and hearts.
