Paul L. Skoblicki
July 28, 1938 – March 4, 2016
Paul L. Skoblicki, age 77 passed away Friday, March 4, 2016 in Tavares Florida. Paul was born in Maspath, Queens, New York and moved to the Leesburg area in 2000 from Chester, Vermont. He was a retired Security Officer for Northrop Grumman’s Aerospace Division on Long Island.
Paul was a faithful member of St Paul’s Catholic Church in Leesburg, Florida, and a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He loved to cook, and did so for the Knights’ many social events. He was a deeply religious man who loved going to church and worshiping his God. He was very outgoing and made friends quickly. Those close to Paul will remember his warm smile, his love of family, his sharp wit and willingness to always lend a hand. He loved playing cards, painting ceramics, taking cruises and just tinkering around his garage.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Kathleen; his sons Steven and Paul (Lori) Skoblicki of Jensen Beach, Fl.; step daughter Justina (Jeff) Hansen of New Bern, N.C.; 4 grandchildren – Mark and Alexandra Skoblicki and Caitlin and Megan Hansen.; his sister Mary Ann Cerreta of New York; nephews Brian and Matthew Cerreta; Brian & John Zustovich; nieces Jennifer and Christine (CA); Susan (NY) and Debra (GA) and many grandnieces and nephews.
Paul was predeceased by his parents – Leopold and Sarah Skoblicki; his brother – Thomas “Ski” Skoblicki and his first wife Carole Skoblicki.
A memorial Mass is planned for 11:00 AM – Thursday, March 17, 2016 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Leesburg, Fl with interment following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg, Florida.
