Paul David Ertley's Obituary
Paul David Ertley, 83, Leesburg, Florida went to be with the Lord on June 12, 2014 in Lecanto, Florida under the loving care of family and staff of Citrus County Hospice. Mr. Ertley was born on August 6, 1930 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to his parents Walter Paul Ertley and Genevieve Ertley. Mr. Ertley was a Diesel Mechanic for Union Oil Company of California and was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. He and his wife Janet moved 20 years ago from Mogadore, Ohio. He was a member of Lake Square Presbyterian Church of Leesburg and a Life Member of the V.F.W. in Mogadore, OH. He was a partner of Randolph Research which held a Patent on helicopter bearings which he made at his home for many years. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years: Janet L. Ertley of Leesburg, FL; a son: Bill Ertley and Marilyn Stichnik of Akron, OH; a daughter: Terri Ertley and fiancé Larry Merrick of Pine Ridge, FL; a sister: Phyllis Schreiber of Alpharetta, GA; two grandchildren: Timothy Paul (Amber) Gurnish and Taryn Gurnish; two great-grandchildren: Anali Gurnish and Aubrielle Gurnish; many loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at 3:00PM with a Gathering of friends to take place prior to the service at 2:00PM at Page-Theus Funeral Home Chapel, Leesburg, FL. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to either Lake Square Presbyterian Church of Leesburg at 10200 Morningside Drive, Leesburg, FL 34788 or Citrus County Hospice at 3350 W Audubon Park Path, Lecanto, FL 34461 in his loving memory.
