Mrs. Opal Fern Sutton's Obituary
Opal Fern Sutton age 98 passed away Thursday morning, November 14, 2013 in Lady Lake, Florida. Opal was born in Crab Orchard, Nebraska but spent over 50 years in Jacksonville, Florida, and she moved to The Villages about two years ago. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Central Christian Church in Jacksonville. When her children grew up and left home she enjoyed volunteering for the American Red Cross and as a Poll Worker for the Duval County Office of Elections. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 40 years Carroll S. Sutton, and survived by her son Ron Sutton of The Villages, FL; Grandchildren – Jeff Sutton of Knoxville, TN; and Carol Singleton of Okeechobee, FL; Great-Grandchildren – Chris Singleton of The Villages and Kyle Sutton of Warner Robbins, GA; A memorial service is planned for 2:30 PM Saturday, at Evergreen Cemetery 4535 Main St., Jacksonville, Florida.
