Nelta Gavin Marie Fitzgerald-Duncan's Obituary
Nelta Gavin Marie Fitzgerald-Duncan, 72, of Leesburg, FL, passed away at The Villages Hospital on October 20, 2022. Nelta was born on May 18, 1950, in Norfolk, VA to her parents; James and Nelta (Gavin) Fitzgerald.
Nelta was raised Irish Catholic and spent most of her life in Cincinnati, Ohio until moving to Leesburg about four years ago. Nelta married her husband, John Ray Duncan in the early 1980s and celebrated over 20 years together until his passing in 2002.
Nelta was a very active member of the Lakeside Village Community and loved spending her time at the clubhouse. She loved the Bengals, staying active and playing bingo with her friends. Nelta will be remembered for being very proud of her Irish heritage as well as her outgoing and fun-loving nature.
Nelta is survived by her two beloved children: Michelle Marie Case of San Antonio, TX and Michael David Case of Hong Kong. As well as four precious grandchildren: Damonte Mahdi, Michael Case Jr., Mason Case, and Kiva Case, and two brothers; James Fitzgerald and Gilbert Williams.
Nelta is preceded in death by her loving husband John, her parents, and a sister, Myra Porter.
