Moneca Monroe's Obituary
Moneca Monroe, 58, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on June 13, 2020 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center, Leesburg, Florida. Moneca was born on September 24, 1961 in Jackson, Michigan to her parents Larry Kenzie and Marilyn (Yochens) McCrory. She moved to Leesburg 10 years ago from Adrian, Michigan. She was the former Owner of My Secret Closet and Another Look. Moneca loved to go shopping, was very artistic and very creative. She loved music and was a huge fan of Marilyn Monroe. She not only loved her friends and family; she was always willing to help others whenever possible. Moneca was also willing to help the homeless and always put others before her own needs. She was of the Christian faith. She is survived by her three loving sons: her twins Derron McLaury and his fiancé Jaclyn Teter of South Lyon, MI, Derek McLaury and his wife Jessica of Jackson, MI and her youngest Cameron Morton of Lansing, MI; her loving mother: Marilyn McCrory of Leesburg, FL; a loving sister: Anne Robert of Manchester, MI; a loving granddaughter: Chloe Thompson (Sparkle) of South Lyon, MI. and a step-sister: Sue Galiata of California. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 2:00PM at Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg Chapel with a Visitation will take place prior to the Service from 12:00PM (Noon) till 2:00PM at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family has requested Donation to be made to Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org in Moneca’s loving memory.
