Miriam J. Sandler's Obituary
Miriam J. Sandler age 72 passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in Tavares, Florida. Miriam was born in New York City and moved to the Leesburg area in 2004 from Margate, Florida. She was retired from the Broward County School System where she served over 28 years and retired as a Cafeteria Manager and Supervisor. She attended Temple Beth Shalom in Leesburg and was a member of the Ladies Club of The Lakes of Leesburg, and the Red Hat Society. She is remembered by those closest to her for her loving and kind disposition and her knack of seeing the good in everyone. She enjoyed traveling and loved to take cruises as often as possible but her happiest moments were when she spent time with her children and family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years – Martin; son – Stephen Sandler of Ocala; daughter Jennifer (Roger) Rice of Leesburg; sister – Yvette Gur-arie of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren – Elizabeth, and Samuel; and many nieces and nephews..
Funeral services are scheduled for 9:30 A. M. Monday – January 2, 2016 at Page-Theus Funeral Home in Leesburg, Florida with Mr. Sanford Lichterman serving as Officiant. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
