Jersky, Miriam's Obituary
Miriam Stella Jersky, 84, of The Villages Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by love on July 20, 2026 in Leesburg, FL. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 17, 1941 to Nathan and Doris Isreali.
Miriam was a strong, intelligent, and independent woman who lived life with determination and generosity. She shared many happy years with her beloved husband Stanley, whose memory remained close to her heart throughout her life. The two were married on July 4, 1990 \in Tavern in The Park, Forest Hills, and Queens, New York.
Miriam graduated with a bachelor’s degree that allowed her to pursue a career in teaching. She was a devoted member of Temple Shalom of Central Florida in Oxford where she provided generosity of her time and leadership. She served proudly as President of the Sisterhood for several years helping to strengthen the congregation and foster lasting friendships with her Jewish community.
In her free time Mirian would spend her days shopping and dining at restaurants with her dear friend Lisa Franzone. The friendship they both shared led to many adventures such as spending time at the beach and traveling.
Miriam is preceded in death by her loving husband Stanley Jersky, beloved parents Nathan and Doris Isreali. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
