Mike S. Szucs' Obituary
Mike S. Szucs, age 86 passed away late Thursday evening at the Lane Purcell Hospice House in Sumterville, Florida. Mr. Szucs a retired Auto Body Repair Technician was born in Muskegon Heights, Michigan and moved to the Leesburg area in 1974 from Lancaster, New York. He was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Leesburg for many years, and he was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served as a Staff Sergeant during WW II, and the Korean Conflict. He participated in the Southern Philippine, Luzon China Offensive and the Japan Air Offensive campaigns. He was an avid fisherman and a fan of all sports, but golf was by far his favorite. He often played at Pine Meadows Country Club in Eustis, Florida. Most of all he will be remembered as a devoted, patient and loyal family man. He is survived by: His loving wife of 63 years – Rose;Son- Michael S. Szucs III – Rio Rancho, NM;Daughters - Mary E. Owens – Lockport, NY; Luann Szucs – Leesburg, FL; Michelle A.
