Frenchie I will always remember when I first meet you in with Sammy Davis, Jr. It was a great day weekend of songs and laughter GOD BLESS You will be miss Pal
I met Frenchie 5 years ago. A girlfriend and I were going to City Fire to have drinks and this guy we had not seen before was sitting in "my chair'"...when it wasn't Rick's....anyway, she and I were chatting and eventually he joined in.....told us he had just recently lost his beloved wife, Pam. We were sorry and asked how long it had been....can"t quite remember exactly but something like 5 days ago...OMG....He was so cute and so sad...best friends from then on.......About a year later, his son and at that time son's girlfriend were in town . We were to meet them in City Fire Brownwood.....I remember seeing this pretty cute guy who reminded me of my cousin and his girl leaving CF.....later Frenchie arrived....after a while his son and girlfriend arrived back....it was the "cute guy". We all had a great time---it was New Years Eve and in the conversation I mentioned that Karl and I were having a few friends over for chili and to watch the ball drop. Ben said that sounded like fun can they come? We said sure, the more the merrier...well, Frenchie was beside himself...embarrassed that Ben would invite himself to our house...."Great, welcome!" we said,.....later, Frenchie called me and asked if he could bring his sound system and maybe he could sing some songs for a while. Perfect! That night could not have been more enjoyable! Frenchie set up his system, played some then took turns with Benoit ......He had not realized how much of a great performer Ben was........what a great night that was, neighbors popping in to the beautiful sounds coming from our livingroom.....Since then Ben and Sylvie have married.....Will miss Frenchie forever but have gained lifelong friends in his absence......R.I.P. Frenchie...glad you are back with the lov of your life 5 years to the day......You planned that, didn"t you?!
