Michael (Big Mike) Karl Schutte January 23, 1953 – March 2, 2021
Big Mike was born in Battle Creek, MI to his parents Kenneth and Dorothy.
He is proceeded in his death by his father and son.
Big Mike married the love of his life, Sandy, and this year they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Together they had 4 children, Pat, Joe(Kerri), Angie and Kyle(Angie). He enjoyed time with their grandchildren, Mikayla, Herman, Hannah, Leah, Toni, Nate, Katie, Kollin and Liam
Big Mike worked as a production manager for 25 years before he left the industry due to health complications.
Big Mike was a beloved member of the community and is most well known for his time and work within the wrestling program at Holt Community School District, where he earned the name Big Mike. He was an avid motorcyclist and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time in Northern Michigan and riding his motorcycle. Big Mike was known as a family man. He welcomed family and friends in his home and always ensured they knew they were welcome there. Family and friends will cherish many memories of numerous gatherings with everyone around the kitchen or the table enjoying time and food with one another.
Big Mike and his wife retired to Florida in 2015, where he lived out his lifelong dream of living on the lake. He enjoyed residing at Lake Griffin and loved all the beauties the lake had to offer.
