I met Mike in Ireland when he had the Pub in Kerry. We had a great time singing while he played the guitar, I still have a couple of videos of him on a late drinking session. A lovely man with a great sense of humour. Ivor

Without Michael entering our lives in 1996, we would not have met, gotten married or have two beautiful children today. My husband and I met At Biddy Mulligan's Irish Pub in Dover, New Hampshire which Michael owned in 1996. We played on the pool team of which Michael was sometimes a participant despite his demands of the restaurant. He led my husband and his brothers and friends on golf trip to Ireland in 1998. He attended our wedding in 1999. We had many laughs and stories over the years when we lived on the seacoast OF new Hampshire. As many people do we lost touch with Michael, but were recently reunited via several long phone calls in the past few months. My husband had hoped to golf with him again. We talked long with Michael as if not a day had gone by and we were happy to call him our friend and reason we met and we thanked him and shared many stories of our children. We were saddened and shocked by this news. We tried to reach out to family, but we suppose too much time has gone by. We went to our local place where we toasted with close friends to Michael Murphy many pints of Guinness with people who never even knew him. They stayed with us for hours celebrating his life, supporting our tears and listening to some pretty funny stories which somehow resurfaced and of course we played every Irish song we could find on the Tunes box. We will never forget his laugh, his smile, his smart ass remarks, his personal dedication to friends, how much he loved his children and boasted about them often and most of all thanking him for bringing us together. We will never forget and always Michael very dear to our hearts. We send our condolences to his family, friends and anyone who ever knew Michael. He was our favorite Irishman!! -Anne and Dan McCausland, Harleysville, PA
