Michael R. Jennings Sr.'s Obituary
Michael Raymond Jennings, Sr., 86, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on March 8, 2025 at home with his beloved wife by his side. Michael was born on April 7, 1938, in Hoboken, NJ, to his parents; Michael and Anne (Huelbig) Jennings.
Mickey was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and worked as a Firefighter for 29 years before his retirement on January 1, 1990. Mickey married Julia Petronzio on August 21, 1971 and the two celebrated 53 years together.
Mickey and Julia became residents of Florida in 2001 and eventually became members of St. Paul Catholic Church in Leesburg. Mickey was a member of the Eagles and AM Vets, he enjoyed spending his time playing golf and in his younger years, baseball. His passion for sports stayed with him as he was a huge fan of the New York Rangers Hockey Team, never missing a game on TV.
Michael is missed dearly by his wife, Julia Jennings, daughters; Colleen Jennings, Dawn Pauline, and Tracee Gilmore as well as eight precious grandchildren and a brother; Alan Jennings.
Michael is preceded in death by a son, Michael R. Jennings, Jr., his parents, and siblings; Jeff Jennings, Timothy Jennings and Barbara Kennovin.
