Michael Maurice Cohan's Obituary
Michael M. Cohan, 78 years old, of Groveland, Florida, passed away on Monday March 3, 2025 at Orlando Regional Medical Center surrounded by his three children.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, June 30,1946 to James and Lillian Cohan. Michael was a Brooklynite through and through. He went on to start a beautiful life and family with his wife Barbara Cohan, who passed away September 5, 2024. Michael is survived by his 3 children Leigh Cohan, Danielle Cohan and Michael J. Cohan along with his 4 grandchildren, Cody Monfett-Cohan, Ryan Monfett-Cohan, Makayla Cohan and Colin Verdi.
Michael graduated high school and went on to complete community college. He then joined the Navy, SK3, and served for two years. Michael was a very proud veteran. He was also a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Family meant everything to him. He was a provider and the foundation of his family. He will forever be missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday March 9, 2025 from 1 pm to 3 pm and 5 pm to 7 pm at Page-Theus Funeral Home in Leesburg, FL. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 11, 2025 at 11 am at Page-Theus in Leesburg followed by the burial at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
