My friend Mel (Doc) -whom I worked with for many years, will truly be missed by everyone who's life he touched. Mel and Alma had many wonderful years together and I had the opportunity to get to know both of them a little better. Mel loved his life and will be remembered for his soft smile and quiet ways. I'll also remember him at the Internet gambling casinos where we would commiserate on our losses. I know he is in a much better place now, with no pain or suffering and keeping options open until we all can meet again. Sadly missed by us all.....
Ramblin' Rose (Peggy)
Our friend Mel, better know to us as Doc, is truly missed. Doc, you were such a strong and gentle man, loving and caring husband to Alma, loyal friend and dedicated co-worker. Doc, we will always remember your smile and your easy going demeanor. We truly enjoyed getting to know you and Alma and becoming such close friends. We only wish we had many more years to enjoy together but we know we will be joining you and we know also that you're saving a place for us at the steak and lobster dinner buffet table. We love you Mel, and we love Alma and we'll help you watch over her. We thank God we had the opportunity to know you and love you. We miss you.....

I remember Melvin taking us to Oregon Inlet to go water skiing behind his new boat. We found all the sandbars and spent more time pushing the boat off the bars then we did skiing.
I love and miss my uncle Melvin. He had a big influence in my young childhood.
Love, Nick Klonis
