Mary "Gerry" Hunter's Obituary
Mary “Gerry” Hunter age 87 passed away Thursday morning at a local Care Center. She was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and was raised in Florida from the age of 3. She was a homemaker and military wife and lived on military bases throughout the United States until her husband’s retirement from the Marine Corps in 1974. She and her husband were pleased to return to Florida and spend their retirement in Lake and Sumter Counties. Gerry was a lifelong and faithful member of T. O. P. S. (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) and made dear friends wherever she went. She is predeceased by her husband of 47 years Glenn and her son Gary R. Hunter. She is survived by her son Glenn Hunter of Fruitland Park, Florida and a daughter Glenda Gardiner of Tampa, Florida, Grandchildren – Lee, Mary, Travis, and Sherilyn, and Great-grandchildren – Katrina, Nick, and Kyle.The family will receive friends on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 5:00 – 7:00 P. M. at the Page-Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Cornerstone Hospice Foundation - 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778
