Martha F. Zimmerman's Obituary
Martha F. Zimmerman age 88 passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in The Villages, Florida. Martha was born in Lanett, Alabama and moved to The Villages in 2015 from Conyers, Georgia, where she was a longtime member of the Heritage Hills Baptist Church. Before retirement she spent more than 18 years working for the Avon Cosmetics Company as a clerical employee in the transportation division. Martha was known for always being a lady, and had a generous, compassionate heart for people. She loved attending her church and was very active for many years in the Heritage Sunday School class and the Women on Missions Group which supported missionaries around the globe. She also enjoyed traveling and entertaining friends at her home.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years – Blaine; daughter – Ann (Wayne) Sapp of The Villages; Son – James Hugh Dunn of Jackson, Georgia; step-children – Judy (Steve) Shaw, Ruth (Fabio) Patti; Daniel (Gloria) Zimmerman; and John Zimmerman;a brother- David W. (Joyce) Farr of Birmingham, Alabama; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and 5 step-grandchildren.
A celebration of Martha’s life is planned for 2:00 PM – Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Page-Theus Funeral Home in Leesburg, Florida, with Rev. George Prinzing serving as Officiant. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg, Florida.
All arrangements are under the careful direction of Page-Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, downtown Leesburg, Florida.
