Martha Mae Arndt's Obituary
Martha Mae Arndt, 85, was born on August 11, 1929 in Huron Co, MI to the late William and Ruth Mckay. She went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2015 with her loving family by her side. Martha attended Gaylord High School. Martha and her husband Richard move to Leesburg, FL in 1982 From Swartz Creek, MI. She was an active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Leesburg, FL and was a member of the Hawthorne Quilting Bees. Martha enjoyed sewing, knitting, and quilting. Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by many. She is predeceased by her five brothers: Jim, Bill, Bob, Harry and Earl Mckay. Martha is survived by her loving husband of 67 years: Richard Arndt, of Leesburg, FL; Sons: David (Pamela) Arndt, of Flushing, MI, Ted Arndt, of West Jefferson, NC, and Herbert (Janet) Arndt, of Ocala, FL; Daughter: Emma (Myron) Simmons, of Mt. Airy, NC; Brother: Don Mckay, of Alpena, MI; Sisters: Mildred Porter, of Wyandotte, MI, Louise Barnard, of Waters, MI, Twin sister Mary (Kenneth) Arndt, of Linden, MI, Kay (Robert) Jefferies, of Tucson, AZ, and Marguerite (Stanley) Versnick, of Coleman, MI. Grandchildren: Nathan, Aaron, Nicholas, Oliver, Emily, Dustin, and Rebecca; Ten Great-Grandchildren; Two Great-Great-Grandchildren. And many Nieces and Nephews. A Visitation will be held on Thursday June 25, 2015 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at St. Mark Lutheran Church located at 28215 US-27, Leesburg, FL 34748 with a funeral service to follow at 11:00AM followed by a committal service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Mrs. Martha Mae Arndt may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church by mail at 28215 US-27, Leesburg, FL 34748 or by phone at (352) 326-321.
