Margaret C. (Haggerty) Roberts, 80, of Leesburg, FL was born on 7/3/43 and passed away suddenly, at home, on 10/8/23.
“Peggy” gave us all 80 years of life, love and laughter. She was a phenomenal Mother, grandma, sister, aunt and friend.
Peggy is Survived by her Brother Edward Haggerty (of Leesburg) & his wife Dana, her Son Mark Roberts, his wife (Kathi} and Grand Children Daniel and Lauren (of Leesburg) and Connor (of New Hyde Park, NY). Peggy also leaves behind many nephews and nieces who she loved dearly.
Peggy was pre-deceased in death by her parents, her son Michael and brother John (Jack) Haggerty!
Peggy, born in Boston, MA, raised her family in Lakeville MA and moved to Leesburg in 1982. Peggy was happily retired but spent most of her career with Mission Inn Golf & Tennis resort as a Sales & Marketing Manager. Peggy loved playing poker and playing bingo at the Lions Club in Tavares - spending time time there with her late Mom Ellie. Peggy was a diehard Red Sox & Patriots fan too! She loved to tape and watch games in her free time!
To honor “Peggy’s” memory, we are holding a Celebration of her life at the “Hawthorne at Leesburg” Community Club house at 100 Hawthorne Blvd in Leesburg, FL 34748 on Sunday 11/5/23 from 10am -12pm.
