Luis Gonzalez, 81, passed away on November 25, 2023 peacefully in his bed. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and enduring memories.
Born on August 25, 1942, in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico, his passion for fishing and cars brought joy to those who knew him.
Family was at the center of Luis' life. He is survived by Gladys Gonzalez, with whom he shared 59 years of love and companionship. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished moments. Luis was a devoted parent to Belinda, Angel, Judy, Angel, providing unwavering support, guidance, and love. Also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Luis was known for his resilience, and his generosity knew no bounds. In his free time, Luis enjoyed working in his garden, fishing, cars, spending time with his family, and showcasing his zest for life and adventurous spirit. Whether it was fixing a new toy or harvesting a new fruit, he found joy in the simple pleasures and shared those moments with those he held dear.
A celebration will be held on December 2nd at his residence. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that monetary donations to support his widow and medical expenses be shared with the family in Luis' honor. Monetary donations can be zelled to Gladys at 352-630-3002.
Luis will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will be carried on by those who were touched by his presence.
