Louis R. Haines' Obituary
Louis R. Haines, 101, Eustis, Florida passed away on April 10, 2018 at Mike Conley Hospice House, Clermont, Florida with his loving son Lou by his side. Mr. Haines was born on February 20, 1917 in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. He and his late wife moved to Eustis, Florida in 1982 from Bridgeport, Texas. Louis had worked for Austin & Trojan Chemical Company as a Blasting Engineer. He was a proud veteran serving in World War II in the U.S. Army as a Paratrooper. He was of the Catholic Faith and was a graduate of Georgetown University with his Bachelor’s Degree. He had worked in the Chemical Blasting Industry for over 50 years. He is survived by his sons: Louis W. Haines of Eustis, FL and Richard D. Haines of California; a daughter: Sally Updike and her husband Mike of Deltona, FL; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Betty M. Haines and a grandson Sean. Private services will be at a later date. The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to Cornerstone Hospice in his loving memory.
