Louis Charles George Sr.'s Obituary
Louis Charles George, Sr. age 88 passed away early Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Leesburg, Florida. Louis was born in Torrington, Connecticut and moved to the Leesburg area nearly 60 years ago. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and during the Korean Conflict he served as a Medic. Louis was a member of the 1959 graduating class of the School of Architecture at University of Florida, and operated the Louis C. George Architect Company in Leesburg for nearly 60 years. Louis was a master architect who loved his occupation so much that he never retired. He enjoyed going to the office at least 4 days a week interacting with his customers and staff. He was a member of the American Institute of Architects, and for many years he was a member of the Leesburg chapter of Civitan International. He was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church. Louis was pre-deceased by his wife – Ella Ruth Correll George, and he is survived by his son – Louis Charles George, Jr. of Naples, Florida; 2 brothers – Fredrick George and Edward George both of Connecticut; and his grandson – Kyle Hunter George of Naples. Arrangements have been entrusted to Page-Theus Funeral and Cremation services. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to they charity of your choice in Louis' memory.
