Lona Elizabeth Matheny's Obituary
Matheny, Lona Elizabeth 99, loving mother and grand-mother went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 13, 2012. She was born on October 10, 1912 in St. Marks, FL She lived 32 years in Leesburg before moving to Seffner, FL in 1987. She loved being with her family, friends and neighbors and left a special place in all our hearts. She was a devoted Christian and member of Mainstreet Baptist Church in Leesburg, a lifetime member of BFW, Women of the Moose in Leesburg, and Ladies Auxillary V.F.W. of Riverview, FL. She will join her parents Franklin & Iva Linton, her loving husband Charles Louis Matheny, daughters Betty Ennis & Virginia Horner, & granddaughter Darcy Crevasse. She is survived by her son Franklin Greek, daughter Lucille Slater, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, many loving nieces & nephews and caring neighbors, all of whom she loved very much. Funeral services will take place at Page-Theus Funeral Home on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 until the time of services.
