When my father, Mike Townsend - Letha's brother, passed away she recognized how hard of a time it had been for me. She invited me to come and stay with she and Ken in Michigan for a visit. When I arrived, she was there to greet me, offer comfort, peace, and love. No pressure to do anything or go anywhere or meet anyone - just a warm home with family that made me feel loved and needed. The thing I needed more than anything at that time to let me know that I was not alone. This was my Aunt Letha. She was that steady center of the entire 'Townsend' family, and I will miss her almost as badly as I still miss my father.
