Leonard Joseph Kamer's Obituary
Leonard Kamer, 85, was born July 27, 1925 in South Bend, Indiana and passed away March 6, 2010. He graduated from Notre Dame in 1955 and was an avid Fighting Irish football fan. He moved to Leesburg in 2003 from Lincoln, Illinois. He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Leesburg and an active member of the Army Corps 1255th Combat Engineer Battalion. He was a collector of art, coins, and stamps, however his true passion was his life long practice of Corporate Labor Law. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Bersch) Kamer; daughters: Marilyn Kamer, Lisa Langan, and Debra (Paul) Sweeney; sons: David Kamer, Bill Kamer, Jeff Kamer, John Kamer (Lauren); Nick Bersch and Greg Bersch; and six grand children. Leonard was a loving husband and devoted father with a zest and love for life. A prayer service will be held 3 p.m. March 10, at Page-Theus Funeral Home . Graveside services will be held May 1, 2010 in Lincoln, ILL. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, donations in Leonard’s name may be made to Cornerstone Hospice or a Cancer Foundation of choice.
