Lawrence (Larry) Ashman, 96, of The Plantation of Leesburg, Florida went to be with the Lord on March 24th, 2020. Larry was the owner and chief operator of Ashman Dental Lab in Orlando, Florida. He served proudly as a Navy veteran during World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. He is also proud of his time serving during the Korean War.
Larry was the son of the late Richard and Cora Mae Ashman. He was preceded in death by his first wife Janet Schoonmaker Ashman and a grandson Preston Raines. Larry is survived by his wife Elizabeth Dudek Ashman, his son Stan (Joyce) of Clermont Florida, three daughters; Jan Weil (Clint) of St Peters, MO, Nancy Raines (Don) of Fernandina Beach, Florida and Lisa Hohorst (Bill) of Buda, Texas, one brother; Dr. Hubert Ashman of Madison Wisconsin, four grandsons; Andrew Raines, Nathan Raines, Trevor Hohorst and Trenton Hohorst, one great-granddaughter; Charlotte Raines, and a host of numerous other family members and friends.
Larry was an amazing person that enjoyed talking about history, especially his time on the ship "The USS Ticonderoga", and when he wasn't spending time with family he would work on jigsaw puzzles, he loved taking rides with his wife, and talking about his upbringing in New Orleans. He will be dearly missed by everyone that new him.
