Dear Jane,
It’s so hard to believe Lance is gone. I still can’t wrap my head around it. Like my Doug he was so healthy. We are so happy we met you and had many happy years of being with each other. We so looked forward to seeing you when we came down to Florida each year. We had many great times together and Lance was always so mellow and helpful even when we messed something up LOL. We will miss his quiet strength and positivity.
Take care Jane as his loving wife and know I grieve with you and I know Doug would shed tears in heaven for him. For all we know they are up there visiting together!

Lance was just the very best friend … always ready to help out, share his wealth of knowledge, and make us all laugh at his wry comments! We have so many wonderful memories of our times together with Lance and Jane. He will always be in our hearts. I hope he is enjoying a Heaven full of good fishing! It’s so hard to believe that the man who was the rock, the solid person in so many of our lives has left us.
It’s shocking how quickly this extremely healthy vibrant man that I had the pleasure to call my daddy all of my life will no longer with with us to hug and get awesome advice from.
Everyone that knew him knows he supported all of us in many ways and will be missed beyond belief.
I’m grateful for all he has taught me and has helped me become the strong woman that I am today.
I miss you, love you and am proud to call you my dad.
Beyond grateful to have been in Florida when you were sick and to spend these last few days with you.
I will love my life to the fullest and make every day count! Thank you for being there for us!

in honor of Lance.

I was Poppy’s Michelle (he pronounced it Muh-Chell with a ch instead of sh). Prior to moving to Florida, I was always with him and Nanny. We have so many memories together that I will cherish forever. He gave me his sense of humor and wit and I’m so glad. I hope you’re having some good popcorn and a nice nap in heaven, Poppy. Always in my heart.
