Kenneth Eugene (Kenny) Kronk's Obituary
Kenneth E. Kronk (Kenny), 60, of Grand Island, FL, passed away peacefully at home on September 13, 2022. Kenny was born in Somers Point, NJ to his loving parents Paul and Joyce (Homan) Kronk.
Kenny grew up in New Jersey and took a liking to cooking after being inspired by his mother, whom he acknowledged as the greatest cook. After finding his true passion for food, at the age of 16 he was taken under the wing of a very successful and well seasoned chef who worked for many casinos and restaurants, Willie Lewis. Eventually, Kenny moved to New Orleans, LA where he may have experienced the best years of his life. Kenny took to the heart of New Orleans, was a die-hard fan of the Saints and even developed a Louisiana accent. Kenny cooked with his heart and enjoyed such classic dishes specific to New Orleans like Gumbo and Jambalaya.
Kenny’s cooking was not the only way that he expressed his love to family and friends. He was a man with a big heart and would be the first one to offer advice to anyone who needed it. Kenny will be missed and remembered fondly for his friendly and caring nature, but most importantly, for being a “ball buster”, as quoted by his loving brother Jeffrey, and probably many of his friends.
Kenneth is survived by his two brothers: Paul and his wife Patti of Sweet Water, NJ, and Jeffrey and his wife Roseann, of Galloway, NJ. Four nephews by blood; Paul, Jesse, Anthony, and Vincent and a niece and a nephew by friendship; Antonio and Hailymar and a dedicated friend, Carmen Arias. As well as a cat, Fluffy and dog, Lily and many other loving friends within the Grand Island community including the Arias family.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his beloved parents.
