Kathleen Ann King's Obituary
Kathleen Ann King, 78, passed away unexpectedly on June 21, 2024. Kathleen known to many as Kathy was born on November 1st, 1945, to Genevieve and Frank Quinn, and is the older sister to her brother Jimmy.
Kathy's life was defined by love and family. She married Paul King, her soulmate for nearly 60 years, and together they raised two wonderful children, Debbie (husband Ed) and Scott. Kathy found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Christine (partner Matt), Korrin (husband Andy), and Brianna, and cherished her great-grandchildren Garrett and Davin.
It was at a roller rink where Kathy and Paul first met, and from the moment, they knew they had found their match. Throughout her life, Kathy was not only devoted wife and mother but a pillar of strength for her family and friends, especially her lifelong confidante and friend, Linda Taillon. Kathy's devotion to Paul was unwavering, accompanying him on all of his travels across seven different states, and she was even prepared to join him with the kids on a potential international move to Iran, demonstrating her steadfast commitment and adventurous spirit.
Kathy approached life much like her strategy at the slots - typically conservative, yet willing to take occasional calculated risks outside her comfort zone, which often paid off in her favor, winning big! Kathy brought passion to everything she did. She was renowned for her prowess in bocce ball, both as a player and as the President of the community league. As a military wife, she exemplified resilience and grace, supporting her family through challenges and triumphs alike.
Kathy cherished Christmas above all else, eagerly anticipating its arrival each year. She delighted in hosting an annual Christmas party that brought together friends and family in joyous celebration. Alongside Paul, she dedicated herself to creating a magical experience, supporting him wholeheartedly in his elaborate Christmas village displays. Their efforts were renewed with multiple wins for the best Christmas decorations display, a testament to their festive spirit and the warmth they shared with their community during the holiday season.
As we say goodbye to Kathy, let us carry forward the memories of her laughter, her strength, and her unwavering love. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and joy that will continue to inspire us all Kathy, may you rest in peace knowing that you were deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
