Julia H Gonzalez's Obituary
On Sunday March 10, 2024, Father God opened his gates to eternal life for Julia H Gonzalez. A devoted wife and Mother beloved by family and cherished by friends.
Julia was born on July 24,1951 in Edcouch Texas where she grew up with nineteen siblings. Later in life she moved to Brownsville Texas where she met her soul mate George Gonzalez JR. While serving his country their love story began, it was not until after his release from the Airforce he proposed. On August 31, 1969, they exchanged vows for a wonderful union as husband and wife. They were blessed with four children, David, Gilbert, Yvette, and Loretta. After 20 years of marriage, they relocated to Florida in 1989, where they established a forever home.
Julia dedicated her life as a housewife and mother to her children. As her children left the nest she began her career as a child caregiver, where she was able to share her love and laughter with kids. George and Julia spent their weekends feeding the homeless, praying for the sick and preaching the word of God to all who would listen. Julia’s true-life passion was her love for God and sharing that love others. Those who had the pleasure of spending time with her would say she was the life of the party, with her silly dancing and infectious smile. After the heartbreak of losing George, Julia was still able to find Joy in living. She spent her days traveling to visit family, spending precious time with her grandchildren, and assisting the ministry in praying for those who needed healing and grace. Julia will be missed by her generous family. In the words of Angela Williams, the poet.
Goodbye
In our minds we always knew this time would come to pass. But knowing it and living it, has come and gone so fast. Goodbyes are often hard to say; they hurt so very much. You're not gone, you still remain in the minds, hearts, and lives you've touched.
A Celebration of Life in loving memory of Julia H. Gonzalez will be held on Saturday April 6, 2024, at 12pm at the Immokalee Airport Park 330 airways Road Immokalee Florida 34142.
