Joyce R. Moroney's Obituary
Joyce R. Moroney age 86 passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center. She was born in Morristown, NJ and moved to the Leesburg area in 1985 from Whitehouse, NJ. She was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church, Leesburg. Before her retirement Mrs. Moroney worked as a Registered Nurse for over 50 years. She was a WW II Veteran of the Army Nurses Corps. She enjoyed many things including horseback riding, gardening, playing the piano, collecting antiques, knitting, folk art, playing bridge and especially spending time with family and friends. She was predeceased by her Loving Husband Robert Thomas Moroney in May of this year. She is survived by her three children – Meg (Lonnie) Johnson of Leesburg, FL; Robert T. (Kathy) Moroney of Bridgewater, NJ; and Rev. Kevin (Rose) Moroney of Wayne, PA; 4 Grandchildren – Daniel, Joyce, Elsa, and Margaret;2 Great-Grandchildren – Brendan and Cayden A Memorial Service has been scheduled for 10:30 A. M. Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at St. James Episcopal Church, Leesburg, FL with Father W. Jay Lambert officiating. A reception will be held in the Parish Hall following the service. Urn placement will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be sent to Cornerstone Hospice 2445 Lane Park Rd Tavares, FL 32778 Page-Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with all arrangements.
