I was lucky enough to have wokerd with Jere for two years buying logs for the sawmill, Jere was honest, hardworking, hillarious, loud and insightful. Some memories I have are seeing Jere in the office working with a little old lady about her water bill in the morning, and at lunch discussing a skateboard park with teenagers, he truely wanted to reach out and help anyone he could for the greater good of the community. His typewriter next to his computer was a testament to him adjusting to modernization the way only Jere could, on my desk I could find Jere old school e-mail in the form of hand typed little notes, and at the same time a detailed timber cruise report that he wokerd up with a custom program he had written for his computer . I learned so much about how I wanted to conduct my life and deal with people from my short time with Jere, he was a great man. We are praying for you Madeleine and the family over this sad loss.##imported-begin##Alexandr##imported-end##

Dear Cousins Kathy and Diane,Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. Uncle Joe was everyone's favorite, certainly mine! I remember at the big family parties he was always roped in to serve as bartender and he joked and made drinks like it was his priilege to serve! He was a good man and we're glad we knew him.Love, Lisa, John, Clare and Andrew##imported-begin##Lisa, John, Clare and Andrew##imported-end##
In memory of my father.MY FATHER'S SHOESI remember my father's shoes. They seamed to me, as a child, terribly big and heavy, as though they had to match the size & weight of his responsibilities. I remember seeing the sole of one shoe worn clear through. And a strange thought comes along with the memory: If I had held that shoe up & looked through that hole, I could have glimpsed, perhaps, something of my father's own soul--the dreams he walked around with, the courage that let him stand up for what he believed--the strength with which he carried himself, and in some sense, carried me, every step of the way.Love you always DadKathy #2##imported-begin##Kathy##imported-end##
