Jordan John Duick's Obituary
Jordan ‘Jody’ J. Duick passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012 in Leesburg, FL at the age of 66. Jody was born on January 20, 1946 in Blakely/Olyphant, PA to the late William and Julia Duick. He was a graduate of Woodbridge Sr. High School class of ‘64’ and served his country in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968 working in communications in Italy. Jody was employed for 41years by GlaxoSmithKline and retiring in 2006. After retiring, he decided to move south, and left Hanover, PA for Leesburg, FL where he attended services at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Jody was an avid bowler and bowled two 300 games during his lifetime, and was also a very low handicapped golfer. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, but his greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren. Jody is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Marie Duick, one son; Bill (Shannon) Duick of York, PA, and one daughter Michele (Nathan) Arnold of Reidsville, NC. He is also survived by one brother William Duick of Sun City, FL and three grandsons; Zachary and Ethan Duick and James Jordan ‘Jamie’ Arnold. A memorial service for Mr. Duick will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Grand Hall of Pennbrooke Fairways Community. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials in Jody’s honor be directed to the Deaf and Hearing Services of Lake & Sumter Counties 220 S. 9th St. Leesburg, FL 34748.
