"Butch"
Butch was born February 14, 1947, in Gainesville, FL, and passed away on April 14, 2019, at Summerfield, FL, at the Brantley House Hospice Center.
Butch was a longtime resident of Groveland, FL. Butch served his country proudly in the Vietnam War where he was awarded the National Defense Service medal; Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Service Star; Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device; Combat Infantryman Badge; and Purple Heart. Butch was a fireman at the Groveland Fire Department and worked as a respiratory therapist at Leesburg Regional Medical Center (LRMC) hospital for many years. Butch was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. His funeral will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019. The service will be held at 3:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 14600 Green Valley Blvd., Clermont, FL 34711. Interment will follow at the Bay Lake Baptist Church Cemetery.
