John Michael Kennedy's Obituary
John Michael Kennedy age 71, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 in Bradenton, Florida. John was born in Providence, Rhode Island, and moved to the Palmetto, Florida area in 2005 from Huntington Beach, California. He was retired from the Boeing Company where he served as Aircraft Mechanic for over 20 years. Most recently he worked as a security agent for the Florida Mote Aquarium and then for U. S. Security Associates. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps and an avid bicyclist. He had a passion for youth sports and throughout his life he volunteered much of his time to coaching various teams. He was also one of the founders of the Long Beach Lancer’s Track and Field team in California. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 53 years, a son James (Karol) Kennedy of Petaluma, CA; Daughters Denise (Michael) Kennedy-Sorek of Palmetto, FL; Kristin Kennedy of Pittsburg, PA; A Brother Joseph Kennedy of California; and Sisters Elaine Holsinger and Jeannie Wade both of California; and 3 grandchildren Cory, Jeffery, and Katie. Page-Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services and Skyway Memorial Gardens, Palmetto, Florida have been entrusted with all arrangements.
