John C. Lambert's Obituary
John C. Lambert, 88, of Leesburg, passed away peacefully March 22, 2020 in Leesburg. John was born on September 2, 1931 to Cyril and Bertha (DeVolder) Lambert in Kansas City, Missouri. John married Frances C. Clark on March 31, 1951 and she survives.
John was Catholic by faith and attended both Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Clermont and St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Leesburg. John proudly served his country in the Marine Corps during the Korean War aboard the USS Boxer. John worked for the Union Pacific Railroad his entire career, with his last position as Assistant to the Superintendent of Cars. John retired from the railroad in 1986 and moved to Florida in 2002. John loved to golf and belonged to the Royal Highlands Golf Community where he also enjoyed playing cards with friends for many years. John did a lot of home improvement projects and enjoyed taking care of his own home.
John is survived by his wife Frances, his sons; Joe and Sylvia Lambert of Austin, TX, Mike and Denise Lambert of Leesburg, daughters; Mary and Richard Clark of Leesburg, Anna and Kurt Mullick of Leesburg, Carol and Bradley Wibbenmeyer of St. Louis and Connie Forshee and Scott Fierst of St. Louis. John and Fran blessed this world with 14 grand children, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Cremation Rites were accorded with private placement of remains at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens at a later date.
