John "Jack" Foggan's Obituary
John "Jack" Foggan passed away peacefully at the age of 92, on March 17, 2024. John was born in Kearny, NJ on September 24, 1931, to loving parents, William and Wilhelmina Foggan.
He was a part of the Elks Lodge as a Past Exalted Ruler and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Leesburg.
Jack served in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge on November 20, 1953. During his time in the service, Jack married the love of his life Eleanor Philburn on January 31, 1953. The couple spent 71 years together. They would live in NJ, NY, and then Ocala, Florida.
Jack worked as a manufacturing representative in the electronics industry until his retirement. In 2015 Jack and Eleanor would move from Ocala, Florida to Lake Port Square in Leesburg, Florida to begin a new adventure together.
Jack was always involved in many activities. Jack and Eleanor in past years worked with Give Kids the World. In his free time throughout the years, Jack coached children's sports and always had an involvement with his local church. He will be remembered as a friendly and outgoing person. No matter where he went he could befriend anyone.
Jack is predeceased by his loving father, William Foggan; loving mother, Wilhelmina Foggan; brothers, William Foggan; Ronald Foggan; and granddaughter, Alexa Foggan.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Eleanor; son, John and Anita Foggan of Millersville, MD; daughters, Susan and Paul Weismantel of Bluffton, SC; Carol and John Langton of Sykesville, MD; grandchildren, Alex Weismantel; Samantha Foggan; Nicole Foggan.
Jack will be missed greatly by family and friends.
