Jody Lee Chapman's Obituary
Jody Lee Chapman, 70, of Leesburg FL passed away peacefully on December 29, 2022 under the care of Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages. Jody was born on May 30, 1952 in Leesburg, FL to her parents John and Joyce (Ford) Abbott.
Jody was of the Baptist faith and worked as a phlebotomist for Quest Diagnostics for about 40 years before she retired in 2014. She enjoyed spending her time crafting and loved the beach. She had a strong love for her husband, family, and pets (one bird and two cats).
Jody married her husband Michael in December of 1985 and celebrated 35 adoring years together until his passing in August of 2021. Jody will be missed dearly by her beloved family.
Jody is survived by her mother Joyce, her son Robert Holcomb and his wife Holly of Eustis, FL, two daughters: Katherine Cates of Fruitland Park, FL, and Melanie Guerrero of Tampa, FL. As well as three brothers: John P. Abbott of Worcester, MA, Timothy W. Abbott of Fruitland Park, FL, and Alan D. Abbott of Worcester, MA, seven loving grandchildren, and nine precious great-grandchildren.
Jody is preceded in death by her father, John, and husband Michael Chapman.
