Jodi Lee Van DeGenachte's Obituary
Jodi Lee Van DeGenachte, 63, of Leesburg, Florida went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2023 at the Orlando Health South Lake Hospital in Clermont, Florida. She was surrounded by her loving family. Jodi was born on May 5, 1959 in Albion, New York to her parents Rodney George Wall and Jean Ann (Blackman) Wall.
Jodi lived in Leesburg, Florida for 20 plus years, originally moving from Albion, New York. Jodi had also spent time in Tampa, Florida while waiting for a kidney transplant and returned to Leesburg after the transplant. She was of the Christian faith and was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Leesburg at the South Campus prior to her health declining. Jodi was friendly and kind and loved to bake for her family and friends. In addition, she enjoyed playing bingo and also loved to paint, especially landscapes and lighthouses. Jodi was grateful for every day she had and was extremely thankful for the gift of a kidney.
Jodi is survived by her loving daughter: Meghan Van DeGenachte of Orlando, FL; two brothers: Jeff Wall of Manchester, NH and Joel Wall and his wife Debra of Kent, NY; as well as a loving granddaughter: Natalee Stachewicz of Orlando, FL.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her beloved daughter Jamee Lee Van DeGenachte.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date at the family’s residence.
